Just curious, what keywords do you think I'm looking at your resume?
Only 2 of 188 resumes received made it a point to ensure that these words are highlighted in the curriculum. The 2 had success using these words, had them in the title, the words appeared in multiple positions and is also found in the letters / emails. The words were not highlighted in yellow or bold. It just appeared frequently in the curriculum.
Most of the 186, others just sent me a generic, one size fits all resume. Some mentioned in the letter / email that had this experience, but many not even that. However, your e-mail stated, "I think my past is a good fit for this position." Really?
So who do you think he got the call from the recruiter?
Another way to look is 186 candidates are asking, 'Why do not you call me for the post, I am a perfect fit. Recruiters do not call me. "
There are three errors of these 186 candidates did.
- Human beings seek keywords as search engines. People resumed the review is seeking to highlight certain words in your resume. It is the only way the volume display resumes. In this case, could not have been clearer what keywords you are looking for.
- One size fits all resumes do not work in this market. Businesses are looking for very specific and targeted candidates. It is the responsibility of the candidate, not the reader of the resume, to ensure the information right to communicate.
- Cover letters / emails are not a substitute for the resume. Just because you say that on the cover letter / e-mail does not mean you can leave off the resume. In fact, the opposite is true. If you claim in your letter / e-mail to have the right experiences, then the reader will expect to see in the curriculum. Hopefully, in multiple positions.
Your resume is the marketing document. Like all marketing documents, should reach the motivations of the readers. Please motivate the reader is then going to move forward. The 186 did not reach the motivations of the readers.

You can download a free audio on "Why Traditional CVs without value" of our website. CLICK HERE. It highlights some of the frustration recruiters and hiring managers match the revision of curricula, but it is not the reason to hear this. The real reason is that also help to continue with your insurance stands out. That is the real benefit.
