I need some advice on getting back into Warhammer 40K?
Ive been outta the game for about 2 maybe 3 years. I lost a lot of my stuff, but maybe I still have some 15 children ork, about 25 Space Marines with random gear and a rhinoceros. I have a load of crap all the chaos of half of the infants Painted naval battle and a box of chaos that has not even been opened. I now have most of this stuff from a friend so I've never played any of the armies. the Ive only played army 6000 is my missing point Necron army. So I'm just not sure where to go from here. since there is a new version out
If you already have a load of space marines and orcs, why not get the Assault on Black Reach box set? That bulk of these armies to you, well and give all new 5th edition rules. It also includes a set of scenarios designed for the use of models that come with the boxed set that take you through of the new rules in an easy, step by step. I would suggest putting the Chaos Space Marines aside for the moment, as regular marines and orcs are a great place to learn the rules. Then once you're satisfied And if you still want to play the dogs of the Traitor Legions defector can dust off your marines chaos and start a new army (selling the old one on eBay to finance new purchases!).
