Napoleonic Russian
Thesis, sounds good?

I'm writing an article about the Russian invasion, I wondered how this fit in my introduction and statement Thesis: The French Invasion of Russia was part of the Napoleonic Wars, fought in 1812.This essay will focus on the view that war was more Napoleon's success, and examine the flaws that led to defeat. The French ignorance of Russian weather in the winter, the severe shortage of supplies to the armies met with victims and great are the main cause of the Russian victory. Suggestions and critique welcome! :)

Actually, it was that the Russians by the invaders, who was French. The French invasion of Russia in 1812 was the critical turning point in the Napoleonic wars. This essay will focus the view that it was Napoleon's most successful war.The defects that lead to the defeat of Napoleon 'will be examined. In short, the French army was not particularly aware and somewhat ignoring Russia's extreme weather in winter. Napoleon's French Army suffered unnecessarily. Large supply lines Napoleon were blocked. The French army shortage of weapons and other essential materials were critical factors in the French military defeat. The casualties inflicted the huge French army for so long and the Russian army are the main causes of the Russian victory.

France is a country that is steeped in history and where in turn, can see the magnificent buildings and monuments that have been built throughout the centuries.

The first signs of civilization in the Paris region of France date back to around the fourth millennium BC where dug out canoes have been found. And just as does long in 250 BC when there was a fishing village along the River Seine, in what is now known as Paris and the strategic position of the area to control river navigation, was always under a different rule. The Romans took over after the revolt of 52 BC.

After Attila the Hun invaded the region in 451, it was thought that Paris would be attacked, but according to legend, St. Genevieve, which remains the patron saint of Paris today, saved her.

L Clovis commissioned the first cathedral and abbey first, which was dedicated to St. Genevieve, and was buried in Paris on his death in 511, near St. Genevieve.

It was under the rule of the Franks, but the city was abandoned by the Empire and suffered grievously from Viking raiders who repeatedly sailed river up to attack. In 885 the city is facing a massive invasion force Viking, which is believed to have numbered 700 ships and 30,000 men!

The Grand-nephew of the Count of Odo, was elected king of France in 987 and again made Paris the capital and founded the Capetian dynasty, which still exists today.

It's so early as the 12th century that the distinctive character of the neighborhoods of Paris, his appearance and the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris was built in 1163 on the Ile de la Cite Paris area, which was the center of government and religious life.

Philippe Auguste became King in 1180, and under him there were a number of important works which were carried place in Paris. He built a new city wall and began construction of the Louvre Palace, and the paving of streets and the establishment of a Les Halles covered market.

Edward III of England claimed the French throne by virtue of its decent, but the French barons rejected this, and therefore the war years of the Hundred and began the history of Paris in the 14th century was dictated by the outbreaks of plague, political violence and uprisings.

The English captured Paris in 1420, but Henry V of England died at the Chateau de Vincennes on the outskirts of the city of Paris in 1422 and despite the assistance of Joan of Arc, Charles VII of France, tried unsuccessfully to retake the city in 1429.

Either Valois monarch, Francois I, probably had the most impact in Paris, the transformation of the Louvre Museum and the establishment of a brilliant cut, including people such as Leonardo da Vinci.

King Henry IV made Paris his place of residence and carried out many public works in the city. This includes the construction of the Pont Neuf, Saint-Louis Hospital, Place des Vosges and Place Dauphine. Also made enlargements of the Louvre.

Paris became the intellectual and cultural capital of the western world during the second half of the 18th century and which became a center of enlightenment and new thinking, he was encouraged by the state, the mistress of King Louis, Madame de Pompadour, supporting the city's intellectuals and prompting the king to build amazing new monuments.

Paris became the capital of an empire and a great military power, at a ceremony held in the cathedral Notre-Dame in May 1804, Napoleon crowned himself emperor.

The Russian and Austrian armies invaded France in 1814 and 31 March 1814, Paris fell to the Russians, it was the first time in nearly 400 years that the city had been conquered by a foreign power.

Paris was again recovered by France's Back and the city continued to grow and expand with the most famous monuments in construction and only with this brief history focusing on Paris, French history is fascinating There are numerous sites and can still admire the architecture of yesteryear.
