If you are a gardener, there is always an element that would like more of, and that is more plants. If hydroponic garden, one of the main supplies hydroponics require are new plants on a regular basis. It can get expensive to buy at a garden center, but easy and fun to start their own plants.

Indoor gardening provides the ideal conditions for starting new plants using manybwell known methods. Along with this, a number of specialized material and equipment to help with the process. Of the several ways to make more plants, you can try cloning and propagation techniques of seed starting, cloning kits, or other forms of plant propagation to create a large amount of plants.

What are the differences between cloning and propagation techniques?

1. From seed

Seeds departure is a great way to build the number and variety of plants at low cost. Depending on the variety, the seeds require light or darkness to germinate, and vary in the number of days to reach germination. You can start seeds in containers of homemade, or use the seed starting kits. This is an excellent method to use when growing indoors.

You will need from seed supplies such as containers and a seed starting mix, which is moistened with water to the consistency of a wrung out but damp sponge. Place the mixture in output trays moistened and place the seeds in the soil. It is important that the seeds are in firm contact with the ground, so to put pressure to cover the seeds lightly (or not, depending on their light requirements for germination) and place them in a plastic bag or a piece of plastic on the top tray. This will create a mini greenhouse effect, favorable to the emergence of seedlings. After the seeds germinate, remove the plastic and grow under the bright lights and feed them regularly with a weak solution of fertilizer.

2. Cloning and propagation techniques using cloning equipment

Cloning is another method of plant propagation. You place the cuttings taken from an existing plant in the cloning kit, and very quickly – within a few days – through repeated application of rooting hormones, root form in the court. Cut them removed from the cloning kit, and is grown in a culture medium under lights. Cloning kits are a great choice when you want to propagate plants quickly, which is common in commercial greenhouse settings.

3. Cloning and other propagation techniques

You can create more plants by using other methods of propagation. Layering is an easy method. Take a branch still attached to the main floor, remove some of the leaves, and place the stripped portion of the branch on the ground. Hold the branch down with a rock, and left in place. Over time, the roots are formed at the branch that is in contact with the ground, after which you can break from the main floor and a new plant to grow in a container.
