If you are a cat lover, you may be interested in one of the more unusual races. There are many rare breeds, such as the British Shorthair, that is difficult to find, but not considered by many to be unusual. On the other hand, there are alien races, some of which are recognized by the Cat Fanciers' Association and other no. In fact, new breeds are constantly raised and exposed.

If you are interested in rare and unusual cats, here is a list containing only some of them.

Kinkalow

The Kinkalow is a dwarf cat, which has recently been recognized by the International Cat Association. A Kinkalow is a cross between a Munchkin and an American Curl. Therefore, you will notice that the body of a Kinkalow is similar to Munchkin, short legs. However, also Kinkalows have bent the ears and the American loop. This breed has a variety of colors and patterns.

Serengeti

The Serengeti was introduced for the first time in 1994. He saw the pattern and can be brindle, black or ebony color. One resembles the Serengeti Serval. However, it is raised exclusively from domestic cats.

Lambkin Dwarf Cat

As its name implies, the Lambkin is a dwarf cat. Otherwise known as Nanus Rex, the first submerged Lambkin in 1987 and is the result of the interbreeding of the Munchkin with the Selkirk Rex. It has short legs and an elongated body, which means that it is not unlike a sausage dog in appearance. Many Dwarves Lambkin have blue eyes, which is a very popular breed.

Highlander

The Highlander is a rather new addition the family of cats, first appearing in 2004 and raised in Highland Lynx. Many people still have not heard of the Highlander, but it is growing in popularity. One reason why the Highlander is popular with some owners is that their behavior and temperament are more like those of a dog. This breed can be found with hair short or long term and a wide variety of colors and patterns. The Highlander is often larger than the average domesticated cat, because wild descent.

American Wirehair

The American Wirehair was developed in 1966 in New York. Leather Unsurprisingly, the American Wirehair has thick and thin.
