Football isnâ € ™ t only the most popular sport on earth, is also one of the most lucrative sports too. To be in the Premier League English (PLA) as an example, revenue rose to nearly  £ 2billion in 2007/08 football, with 11 of the 20 teams posting an operating profit.

Football and TV go hand in hand in the 21st century and to some extent, are mutually trusted. Income generated by rights TV allows English clubs to buy the crème-de-la-crème of the world's ™ € s football talent, which in turn means Footie fans are glued to their screens each week to see the sparkling skills unfold before them. Everyonee € ™ sa winner, it seems.
The only potential problem for some people is painfully to the pub every Saturday or Sunday, whatever the lunch hour to watch the game of the day can be. Add to the mix of the plethora of games in the Champions League, international matches and national parties, including other major leagues such as Spain and Italy, then football fans could end up rather fork out a lot of money at the bar.

However, football fans may be surprised to discover that many of his colleagues are actually quite sharp for some home comfort for weekly slot games, and that will save them money too. As a small gathering for drinks and quiet in the house could be the tonic for fans of the country for what football has well and truly come home.
