How to get a small room with 7 painted walls?
The room is small, about the size of 1 van. I want to paint a smooth face, calming lavender, white and fluffy, a sapphire, slightly darker than the blue sky, a tone atramentous, a pink carnation, a deep rich crimson, and a great green sea. Only two middle layers of paint. How much is for a professional job? THANKS! Er … Lol.

From Chengdu, home of the Panda Breeding Research Institute, climbing trip west through the mountains and fog. Passing through a road tunnel near the summit of the mountain the weather changed suddenly, the sun through the clouds sending rays of light shining down on us small towns in the valley below.
I went down to the small town of Tagong Kanding and continued through the town of Luding where the Red Army had pursued during the nationalist Kuomintang the race for power in the 1940s in the swinging bridge suspension chain.
Chittagong is delicious. At dawn, looking down from the hotel terrace to the street, I saw Tibetans walk with their finery, girls riding school and a girl holding a banner at the entrance to their school welcome students for classes in the day. Chittagong has both a monastery and outside a nunnery. The monastery was home to a dozen orphans who were delighted to appear to see themselves on the small screen of my digital camera. Their smiles, laughter and looks of astonishment were in marked contrast to their serious faces the next day when I returned to see everyone dressed in red robes squatted on the floor, rocking back and forth, chanting scriptures long horizontal scroll.
Visit the nunnery, I was lucky to come across a family of nomads moving between pastures – The children ranged from two to one horse, followed by adults, walk and carry their belongings loaded yak. The slopes around the nunnery were completely covered with prayer flags fluttering roses, testimony to their faith. Fortunately no religious events took place that day and they let me go to the sky burial site. Eagles, however, thought otherwise, and he jumped forward, clearly unhappy that they had been altered.
Litang, a town on the edge of a great flat valley, also has a monastery — religion is a way of life. However, what really comes to life in late July when the festival takes place on horseback. People come from all over Tibet to take part in and career, buy and sell horses. They set up small camps and stay for a week or more. This area of western Sichuan and Yunnan North welcomes visitors relatively few and those who come usually come from specific events, although this area is fascinating at any time. It's almost more Tibetan than Tibet most visitors see.
A two-day trip to the National Park Yading was impressive. I went to a screening of 4,700 feet, snow-capped goes on around me and the frozen lakes below. The temperature was below zero, but this does not seem to bother the pilgrims making the Kora, a walk around a mountain fear who were dressed in tunics and only does so in a day!
Traveling outside Sichuan province meant to follow the road along the Yangtze River before passing and heading upward again to a mountain with river views. Here I had a magnificent view of the first bend of the Yangtze and what an amazing place it is.
In Benzilin, Yunnanese the first major city I spent there were the remains of ancient towers of land on the defensive. However, I was more interested in a more recent legacy – Winery on the left behind the French who were here in the 1920s and 30s.
There another opportunity to walk around near the town of Dechen, a large town for the region and had a clear Chinese design, but was full of local Tibetans. Dechen leaving behind, I kept the small town of Minyong, then walk to the glacier Minyong, a journey that can also be done on horseback. Standing next to glacier ice can hear that small pebbles rolled into the cracks. Occasionally an avalanche was coming down the side of the mountain that is channeled into narrow ravines before sliding to a halt in the valley.
My journey ended in a city that claims to be the mythical Shangri-la, Zhongdian. Although China is a modern city, the old districts of Tibet are a delight to stroll. Old men and ladies dance in the main square. A giant prayer wheel, which has a number of people turn to, dominates the skyline. The site here is the Monastery of the many people say that looks like the Potala Palace in Lhasa. Whatever the myth there is a touch of Shangri-la in the place.
