Americans love the games. Maybe it's a cultural issue, and of course the passion for games is not limited this country. From the beautiful simplicity of tic-tac-toe board games like chess and monopoly, card games and even sophisticated gaming systems like Xbox and Wii search for entertainment has been a constant.

Grand Theft Auto shot to stardom with his portrayal of high technology in a futuristic city that mimicked New York, called Liberty City. Names ranging from the Statue of Happiness, and Rotterdam Tower Construction GetaLife are obvious tips of the hat to the Big Apple. But Grand Theft Auto is a little darker and more violent than many players prefer and for many the search for a virtual world with almost infinite possibilities and less crime has led to Second Life or SL.

Now, with the current near real historic properties falling housing market, it is natural that Second Life, without doubt one of the virtual reality games more popular, it could be even more attractive for new players tired of death and darkness of the real life of real estate.

Second Life started in 2003 and owned by Linden Lab of the game's premise is based on virtual real estate, and as in real life, the money can do for her. In fact, players are leasing virtual land, which is not really the same, but the premise is the same.

You have all the excitement of real estate, speculation and profit or potential loss without the headaches of insurance, mortgages or taxes. This has become a major draw for some residents of the virtual game.

The value of land Second Life can be increased much the same way as in real life. Residents can improve the land by building houses, businesses or even the addition of gardens property. Similarly, Linden reserves the right to add more land to the game of the Acts of Linden, which may suddenly decrease the value of the land by increasing supply, if the market out of control.

This practice was closed in early 2007, however. And just like in real life, do not leave parcels of land that are thrown back into the rotation and put on auction.

There are other factors at play in Second Life imitating real life, such as disturbed neighbors. Some residents have been charged with the creation of packages of ground offensive in an effort to reduce the value of the parcels neighbors and the sales force. To try to limit differences, Linden started allowing agreements in 2007. An agreement allows, basically, if someone owns a region land (which is assumed to have capacity for 100 residents) to establish rules to follow or loss will occur over land. This keeps the residents who rent or own within that region to deface property.

Of course, with any kind of land rush, you'll find agents Coldwell Banker real estate, and was the first company to jump on the bandwagon of Second Life. The company was installed in the virtual world in 2007 and bought a lot of land in the SL mainland. His plan was to divide the land into 520 units, half is for sale residential homes and the other half as a rental property. Coldwell provided in the housing market (which buyers can not modify or change) well below the going rate on SL and also offer everything from helicopter tours to information about the real life of condos, homes and property.

With the popularity of virtual tours of home and the growing power of the Internet, along with the housing market crash of 2008, Second Life can be a escape even a reversal of more people.
