Dodge City, Kan. – June 11 2008 – Dodgeboard.com announces recipient of "Dodge City Citizen of the Year. Officer Brian McGrew will receive the annual award that recognizes him as "Dodge City Citizen of the Year "along with a plaque presented to him to commemorate his achievement.
Dodgeboard.com official line is Dodge City community activist organization, founded and supported by area citizens vowing to make the community a better place for everyone in the community. The organization annually recognizes citizens who have demonstrated the actions or events that have affected the community in a positive way, then named, vote and select a recipient for the prestigious prize and the title of "Citizen of the Year.
Officer Brian McGrew was selected among eight other candidates of conduct "by above and beyond "the duties of caretaker and" affect positive change "in the community. The group also raises money for Thanksgiving dinners for forty needy families community and its members give the parties the day before the holidays.
The members help raise money for people who have suffered tragedies of the house fire and helps to mentor local groups like Big Brothers / Big Sisters of Ford County. Dodgeboard.com is home to 600 registered members living in the community Nearly 30,000 local. To provide local conversation about the problems facing the community, the group claims to have the pulse of the community and discuss solutions to problems affecting to the historic old western town.
DodgeBoard.com is a community of citizens of the line Dodge City that was founded in 2005 by a local group of concerned citizens who felt their democratic voice was not appreciated, welcomed or heard by local leaders of the city, and county commissioners
